Treatment Techniques- Mechanical Traction

Cervical Traction to Reduce Neck Pain and Muscle Spasms.

Mechanical Traction

How Does It Work?

  • Mechanical traction provides a gentle sustained "pulling" force that creates spinal decompression  and takes the pressure off the spine.

What Conditions does Mechanical Help with?

  • The most commonly treated conditions are:
    • Lower Back Pain
    • Disc Herniations
    • Age related Spinal Degeneration
    • Arthritis
    • Stenosis
    • Muscle pain/stiffness
    • Sciatica

What does the treatment entail?

  • Patients will relax in a private room, and will be attached to the machine via neck/back harnesses.
  • Treatment typically lasts been 10 and 20 minutes.
  • Patients will feel a gentle, relaxing pull. Traction should not be painful or uncomfortable.
